Raising Money for Trails Doesn't Get Much Easier Than This

raffleAll you have to do is drink beer!

SORBA Athens ran two fundraising promotions in May, Firkin Fridays and the Tree Hugger Growler Incentive, and raised $2,500 for their local trails. Terrapin Beer Company donated five firkin casks to help the chapter raise money to build trails at Trail Creek/East Athens Community Park (EACP). Every Friday in May at 5 p.m. SORBA Athens tapped a Terrapin cask at the Royal Peasant, featuring a different beer every week. 100% of the proceeds went to the chapter. Also, throughout May, Five Points Growlers donated 25% of every Terrapin Tree Hugger Growler purchase to SORBA-Athens.

The chapter added to the fun by holding raffles at the Firkin Fridays. Prizes included hats, water bottles, tee shirts, and even entries for Recrational Ale Chain Buster Race sponsored by Terrapin.

Drink beer, support trails. What's not to love?
