Become a Bike VIP at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area

The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is looking for Bike VIP volunteers to assist users on the Sope Creek Trail.

Learn about the park’s resources, meet other people, and become a steward of the park from the seat of your bike! The Sope Creek trails at the CRNRA need trained VIP volunteers to help educate users, manage trail use, and be ambassadors for mountain biking. You’ll receive free CPR and First Aid Training, instruction about the history and resources of the park, as well as law enforcement for the park, and receive a Bike VIP t-shirt to wear when you ride as a volunteer in the park. First Aid, CPR, and VIP training last a total of 12 hours.

The classes are offered as follows:
Friday, May 3rd, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CPR and First Aid Certification. Held at the Island Ford Visitor Center 1978 Island Ford Parkway, Sandy Springs (map).

Chose one of two sessions for VIP training. You must attend one full session or two partial sessions in addition to CPR and First Aid certification.

Saturday, May 11, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bike VIP interpretive and law enforcement training. Held at the Allenbrook House, 227 S Atlanta St, Roswell (map) at Vickery Creek.

Thursday, May 23rd, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bike VIP training Part 1. Held at the Allenbrook House (map) at Vickery Creek.

Friday, May 24th, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Bike VIP training Part 2. Held at the Allenbrook House 227 S Atlanta St, Roswell (map) at Vickery Creek.
