NEABA SORBA will host the Summit March 21-23in Anniston, AL. Advocates, enthusiasts, industry representatives, public officials and public servants will gather in Alabama’s scenic piedmont area to present, learn, network, socialize, and, of course, ride bicycles. The Bridge in downtown Anniston, owned and operated by the First United Methodist Church, will house Summit meetings.
On Friday, the focus will be on educating those who manage our public lands about how to effectively create, expand, and manage mountain bicycling opportunities in their parks and forests. A guided walking tour and a ride at Coldwater Mountain trail will be held that afternoon, followed by a reception with light snacks.
Saturday’s program will include workshops and panels geared towards effective advocacy, volunteerism, and trail building. A second guided ride at Coldwater Mountain follows the day’s sessions. The evening ends with a social at Cheaha Brewing Company in downtown Anniston.
On Sunday, a Dealer Appreciation Demo, sponsored by Trek, will be held on the trails.
