The only thing I know for sure is that we are still waiting for the County to build the bridge and parking.

yesterday i spoke with someone directly involved with the process, who said as they made this face , "maybe by Thanksgiving."
i'd be pleasantly surprised if we were riding there in the spring.

how you gonna come
with your hands on your head
or on the trigger of your gun

Forsyth County has selected a contractor for the bridge and parking lot. RAMBO is waiting on the Construction schedule so we may share the details with all of you. We hope to have that in the next couple of weeks. There will be a period of time during construction when there will be no trail access. We will let you know ASAP.

After that we will schedule the big grand opening party and have a blast!!! For some of us old time RAMBO BOD members this has been a 6 yr jouney. I'll be very happy when it is over.

I got this form Forsyth County - unofficially

No they are not open however folks have been riding it.

Schedule for construction of new approach trail, parking lot and access bridge should be determined in next couple of weeks.
Phillips Brothers Construction was hired to do the work late December but we have not had a pre-con meeting to discuss the schedule.
They have 6 months to complete once started so looking at probably June.

Soon as I have exact info it will be posted via county website and RAMBO’s web media.

Hope that helps.

We expect construction to start next week around 3/15. During Construction there will be NO access to the park as the temporary bridge will be removed and the new one built. Please stay out of the park until we let you know it is safe to go back in there. The Contract is for 6 months but I can't really see how this job could take that long. We will keep things up to date on our facebook page and RAMBO website. RAMBO-mtb.org

The good news in all of this is that once this is over the park will be finally officailly open. No more poaching... finally done!!!

This has been a very long haul for some of us on the RAMBO BOD and Forysth County Park and Rec Dept. It has not been easy at any part of the process but we finally made it. I'm sure it was very frustating for the biking community but the final goal is at hand and we look forward to many great times together on this trail.

Again Please stay out of Charleston Park until we give you the word to go back in. Please do not cross others private property to access the park during this time.

Thanks everyone,

Joe Baker
