XT BL-M785 vs Juicy 3

XT BL-M785 vs Juicy 3

Postby ScottGreer » Wed Jun 26, 2013 10:18 pm

Thinking of upgrade.g from my Juicy 3s. I'm liking the thought of upgrading to the 785s.

Worth the cash?

Anyone know where to get them cheap? Amazon has a front/rear setup for 250$ shipped.

A buddy saw this thread and texted me. Looks like I am getting a really good deal on a set of Avid X9's WITH rotors this afternoon! :beerbang: :beerbang: :beerbang:

For the money I saved vs buying 785s and rotors, I can assure you I'll sleep well :beerbang:

Still a considerable upgrade over the J3

If you paid for them, you over spent. You will not sleep well. The squealing will be permanently echoing in your ears and keep you up all night.

Elixers SUCK. I'm on my 3rd set. Bought some Elixer 9s, they died after a few years and needed bleeds every 4-6 months the entire time I owned them. Someone gave me some Elixer CRs, had them long enough to need two bleeds then they died. Someone else gave me another pair of Elixer CRs. They haven't died yet.

All of them made horrible noises until the day they died.

I know  But they were free.

That's how good Elixers are - people just give them away.

3 Laps at the Horse park today. Not a single noise from the brakes. Stop on a dime and gave me change. Not sure what you Nancies are yammering about! :beerbang:
