Best Elapsed Rainfall Site

I just stumbled across the NOAA elapsed rainfall site, which is the best I've found to date. You can zoom to the point of seeing street names for neighborhood streets. Let's you look at rainfall during the last 3, 6, 12, 24, 48 hours... Not sure why I'd never seen this before.

Thank you. This will make it easier to find a trail that is dry on my days off.

Glad you guys like it.

I checked it Sunday morning and decided to go to Big Creek, which showed little to no rainfall in the last two days, instead of Yellow River, which had gotten over a an inch. Big Creek was in great shape.

The site appears to update throughout the day. Right now all the time periods end with 1600 UTC which is 1200 EDT, so those totals are just over an hour old.

That's what I'm talking about! Way better to look at rainfall amounts and make an informed decision than just look at a trail's official open/close status. This time of year we just can't open and close with each cloud burst.

Thanks!!
