Wet Trails - Any Dry in N. GA area?

Postby Sangster » Mon Jul 08, 2013 9:45 am

This rain is killing me. I planned to ride twice over the extended 4th of July Holiday and instead I ended up watching movies and sulking inside.

I'm dying to get out and ride. Do you guys know of any trails in the N/NE GA area that are open and aren't soaked? I'm in Gainesville and both of our local trails are currently closed due to this terrible rain.

parts of snake creek drain extremely well as do the trails at cheaha state oak in AL. i cannot soak to their current conditions, however.
clearly it's entirely too technical...

**currently tied with Lance Armstrong on Tour de France wins.**

Had some freinds ride the horse park yesterday and they said it wasnt too bad.

But i think it rained some more there last night after they rode.

I went out to Charleston Park for a trail run today. It is a no go - in fact, the bridge has floated away again (might need to tie it into place so that when the lake receedes it isnt too far out of place) . So unless you want to swim for it, I'd head elsewhere. I am heading to blankets tonight - it is open.
