I saw what they did to the horse park! I rode up the gas line and took the 2nd right where the fence was thrown down! It's looks pretty bad! I had to hike and bike threw the trees!
Most of the trails looked pretty thrashed and it's going to be a long clean up!!!

Agree! I was there today. All of the trail on the steeplechase side beyond the gas line is CLOSED, and it doesn't look pretty.
If and when the trail is cleared and repaired, I wonder what it will be like with so many trees now gone.
Spoilin' for more urban trails.

FYI: From C-Town Bikes Website 8-7-2012

Latest on GIHP Trails

We noticed that most of the heavy machinery was out of the way, so we asked what the status of the work being done on the mountain bike trails is. Here’s what the Horse Park had to say.

“All of the logging has been completed. They are working in one more area to finish chipping. Once this is done, they will be moving out completely. We have already begun cleaning and repairing the trails. These trails will remain closed at this time for safety reasons. We will send out an update as soon as the trails are ready to open and to be used once again. We do not have a completion date but anticipate it will not take that long. We appreciate your patience during this time.”

Keep a lookout for more updates.

That's a pretty good response. I hope it is done soon and I can ride there again.
