Stringers Ridge - Chattanooga

Postby rpmk42 » Mon Dec 09, 2013 1:32 pm

This is a heads up to anyone riding the Stringer's Ridge trails. I experienced a theft while parked at the trail head (wallet, cell phone, all the esstentials), on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is unfortunately that time of year and the secluded nature of these trails lend themselves to being easy targets for theft. I post this as a reminder to everyone to be careful and smart (which I was not by having all of my valuable conveniently stored in a single backpack) when parking at trail heads while enjoying a nice, cold trail ride.

On the plus side, the trail was great and the ride was much needed leading into the holiday. This particular trail is a great addition to the Chattanooga trail systems and I do not plan on letting this little setback keep me from enjoying this trail!
