Sopo Bicycle Cooperative has commissioned the painting of more than a dozen bicycle frames by local artists for its second Art Bike Show. These artists, including familiar street artists such as Evereman, Charlie Smith, PLF, and Olabad have been asked to use the bicycle frame is their canvas and create unique, buildable and rideable art. The frames were received as donations and will be on display for silent auction to raise funds for the organization.
The final reception will be held at the Goat Farm on October 7th from 7-11pm. In addition to art frames, other bicycle related artwork and individual bicycle components will be featured for auction. DJ Chris Devoe and DJ Baels will be on hand for musical entertainment and refreshments will be provided by Honest Tea, New Belgium Brewery, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and the Good Food Truck. We will be raffling off a New Belgium cruiser bike as well so come on out for your chance to win!
A full list of participating artists and venues can be found at www.artbikes.sopobikes.org
