Ride season 2005 begins for Trips for Kids

Postby BelindaSauret » Sun Mar 27, 2005 5:27 pm

Hello volunteers and VID (volunteers in development),

Trips for Kids will have the first official ride of the 2005 season on Wednesday, March 30th. The kids from the Hall County Boys and Girls Club will come join us betwen 4:00 and 6:00PM, but we'll be there a little earlier, of course, in order to get ready and set up the water, helmet, snack and bike-sizing stations. Please come meet with us at the shed beside the trails on the Gainesville College campus. These rides will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the month of April.

Please keep an eye on this forum to see what new rides are added to the schedule. Last year we had 52 outings with children. We might even beat that record this year!

If you would like to sponsor a ride at the trails that are your favorite, closest to your home, or whatever, coming to volunteer is a good way to come see what is involved. Remember SORBA has purchased a trailer and these bikes can be easily transported to other trails.

Hi there,

I guess that I would have to say that for SORBA TRips for Kids, http://www.sorba.org is the website. There is a page with general information about our program linked to "Programs" on this website, but for the low down on times and places, this forum seems like the best way for us all to communicate.

Also, Trips for Kids National has a website. http://www.tripsforkids.org
