Im 46 but a fit 46 just huffing and puffing up the hills, LOL Im going to try to make to the dauset run 1/10/10. Any advice would be helpful, thanks :D :D :D

Hey yomike46, Welcome to Sorba and the crazy world of MTN here in GA
You say you ride at Tribble Mill, have you also tried out Harbins, which is just a few miles down the road? Great place, awesome trails, and more on the way.
My name is Joe, one of the board members for GATR http://www.sorbagatr.org/ We are a chapter of SORBA that maintains the trails in Gwinnett. Go check out our website and our forum here on this site for info on our many up coming group rides for 2010, would be great if you can come out and ride with us. We are open to all riders from newbs to the die hard racers. :beerbang:

There is a group ride planned for New Years day at Yellow River park. It is scheduled for between 2pm - 5pm open to all levels. I promise you won't get hit by a car in the woods! The trees can sometimes cause a problem though. Park directions are on the GATR website. (sorbagatr.org)

I take my son who rides (now dont lol) a 1980's schwinn high sierra its all hard!! He loves it. I have tried horse park and that kicks my butt to much!! I go to Turner lake by me and theres nobody there except sometimes walkers. Thanks again for the welcome and i look forward on seeing other riders from here!!!

If thats the bike he is riding, and it work s for him  Thats all that matters. A bike does not make a man, its the man that makes the bike. I think it is so cool to see all the moms and dads out there riding the trails with there kids. This is a growing sport, and our main goal, is to keep it going.
