Slippery slope to confusing trail maze if you leave options open after re-routes. Just a thought.

I vote to leave it open and do a bypass as well. I like the technical stuff, some folks just want it easy. We can all be happy.

If it's going to take extra work just to keep it open, I believe there are better places to focus on instead it. I would have to say close it, while it is a little bit of a challenge it's gets so dang hot I would like to just skip that section.

I don't mind it, it's good training, but I know you gainesville sorba peeps would like to spend more time riding too, instead of always doing maintenance... I'd say I vote neutrality.

I rode the new route today, much better. I was glad to see you kept the rooty section coming off the gravel road.

Leave it open. It is nice to ride in one way and out the other.

Rode the reroute on Sunday. I will have no reason to visit the gulley, not even for nostalgia's sake.

I'm with crash. The reroute is nice, and I don't think I'll ever ride the gulley again.

The gulley is not very technically demanding, and the erosion gets worse each year. I can think of other areas where time and money are better allocated than repairing and maintaining this spot to keep it open.

So far it looks like 19 people have volunteered to show up and do the ongoing maintenance necessary to keep the gulley open and sustainable.

Closed or open, the erosion of the gulley will remain. It is little more than a ditch now so leaving it open should not require any significant maintenance since less riders will ride it now that the reroute is complete. Options are good.

I say leave it open for those who like a challenging section here and there. The new section is fun, but is no challenge at all.

The overgrown briars should make it real challenging now. I'll try to get out there next week to clean it up a bit for those who still ride the gulley.

I rode it today and there wasn't much overgrowth at all.
