Noonday trail?

Postby DaMtnRider » Mon Apr 11, 2011 7:58 pm

Anyone hear of any further possibility of Noonday connecting up with Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield trails? Would LOVE for KMB to open back up to us.

Man, he found me :) how it going bud? Real life stuff been kicking my arse but I need to get back in the swing of things. Noonday is a small trail up in kennesaw, but rumored to be trying to connect into KMB trails. There was a push to also get KMB back open to bikes. Google noonday trail and there OS a map of the existing and potential. Would be great.

Section 2 of the Noonday Creek Trail will have its ribbon cutting cutting on Thursday, Sept. 2. The other parts of the trail are either up for bid or already under construction. The Noonday Creek Trail will eventually connect the Vistor Center at Kennesaw Mtn National Park to Bells Ferry Road, passing through the Barrett Lakes and Town Center area. This is just one of many trails that are completed or being proposed for the area.

Eventually this great trail system will connect with other trails make it possible bike, walk, or run to Atlanta, The Carter Center, and hopefully all the way to Stone Mountain Park.
