I am doing a science project for my school and would like to know "Which position to place your light is best". I know there is no "best" but I would like to get your feedback. If you would please take this survey it would help out A LOT!!! Also if you could please comment on this post if you have any suggestions on how I could make my project any better. Thanks

Though I only have one light now that I mount to my helmet I would prefer to have another on the bars to remove the shadow created by the helmet visor and give better visibility directly in front of the front tire. I voted both.

One suggestion about the poll, you may want to get rid of the 'both' option. Picking either handlebar or helmet is pretty cut and dry. Having the option of both is going to get the most votes because most people probably want both even if they only have one light. It is like asking "what's better: cake, ice cream, or both?" obviously if you can have both, that is preferable.

Or you could rephrase the question to "what light setup do you use?" That way you eliminate peoples opinions on what is 'best' and focus on which setups are the most popular.

That being said, I mount on my helmet, but wish I had two lights so I could have both. I'll pick helmet for the poll, because if I had to choose one or the other that is what I would pick.

I have a handlebar mount that currently needs adjusting. When and if I can do this, I would LOVE to ride with both for the same reason.

Wonder if you could break your question down by type of light (not brand) used.
Then, you could delve further into batteries, etc.
Should time allow, you could see about borrowing lights for a night ride to see if they lived up to the hype, doing a display with pics and everything.

PM me and let me know as I would be happy to loan you mine.
Good Luck!

I think AllenM makes a good point. Might be interesting to have another poll for how people actually use the lights since, given the expense, probably not alot actually using both even if they would like to.
