My wife is new to MTB and is wondering if there are any personal instructors or anything in the Blanket's Creek area. She was riding the Dwelling Loop over the weekend and dug her chain sprocket in her inner calf. resulting in 15 stitches. She's eager to ride again but she feels underqualified.

Just find people with a true passion for riding, join 'em and she'll do fine.

If she is new to MTB and getting use to gearing, she might want to consider FSR rides as a way to figure out how the bike works. ST, where there isnt much room for error that doesn't result in a fall or injury, can be scary. Work on building confidence first though basics and then tackle the technical as she feels ready.

However, with that being said, I did group rides with RAMBO and they were invaluable. I believe there is one this w/e at the Jack Rabbit trails which would be perfect for her. First time I rode them, I thought I need to get me a SS.

If you are on Facebook, search for "MTB Atlanta." They schedule ladies rides and nobody gets left behind. :-)

Watch the SORBA forum. Sorella Cycling and other organizations put on beginner clinics throughout the year. I don't know of any coming up, maybe in the spring.
