Tumbling Creek Mountain Bike Rumble XI Rocks as 6 Hour Event

ImageThe 11th Annual Tumbling Creek Mountain Bike Rumble delivered on October 27th at Gainesville State College in Oakwood, GA. Traditionally a cross country race, the TCMBR was held as a six-hour endurance event this year. Under dazzling blue, clear skies 183 racers turned out for the challenge, making this one of the largest endurance events in the Southeast.

Glorious weather, great friends and family, and gracious competitors combined to give this event a festival feel. The atmosphere among the pit crews was jovial. Children ran, raced each other, and played in a giant mound of sand, all against the backdrop of the endurance race. Grillmaster Robert McBride cooked up burgers, brats, and dogs for the hungry masses, with Trips for Kids benefitting from the concession sales.
After race awards were bestowed, the fun continued with a Halloween costume contest.
