The Uwharrie National Forest Wood Run Area Trailhead is the place to be on Saturday, November 12th. Join your SORBA friends, Forest Service personnel, and local community leaders for the Grand Opening of the new and improved mountain bike trails in the Uwharrie National Forest. The event begins at noon with a ribbon cutting, trail rides, games and food. The Wood Run Area trailhead is located on NC 24/27 between Albemarle and Troy, two miles east of the bridges over Lake Tillery/Pee Dee River.
The trails are open for riding, and the parking lot has been bustling since the Phase 1 construction created a 15-mile woodland wonderland for mountain bicyclists. Bring your bike, and find out what all the buzz is about!
Visitnc.com has information on lodging in the area, as you're sure to want to stay awhile!
