Arrive by 9:00 a.m. at the Bull Mountain parking lot.  This lot is located at the end of Forest Service Road # 83.  Take Nimblewill Church Rd to FS#28-1.  At the bottom of the hill turn left onto FS#83.  Drive to the end.
Please RSVP  so that you will be included in the lunch headcount AND so we can notify you if plans change.
Chattahoochee Trail Horse Assoc (CTHA) and IMBA/SORBA will provide tools, knowledge, friendship and lunch.
Bring the following items with you:
  • helmet or hard hat (required by USFS)
  • closed toe shoes
  • bug spray
  • epi-pen if you are allergic (and please don’t leave it in your car)
  • water and something to carry it out on the trail
  • gloves
  • please wear long pants and long sleeve shirt
If you can bring the following tools with you, that would be great:
  • loppers to cut tree roots
  • leaf rake to sweep cut roots off the trail
We will be working with local professional trail builder Mike Riter of Trail Design Specialists on the new trail he is building from the base of Bull Mtn down to the reservoir and partway up the other side.  For those who haven’t yet seen this trail, it is fantastic!  We will move along the trail, cutting out all the exposed roots.  Others will come along behind and rake all the debris off the trail.  We will work until around noon, then have lunch and socialize.  Come visit with old friends and make new friends.  The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
Your help does make a difference on this trail system.  These trails are in such good shape because of volunteer efforts.  So please come join us.  Everyone is welcome – equestrians, mountain bikers, hikers and runners.
