SORBA has been nominated by Eagles Nest Outfitters Inc (ENO) for 1% for the Planet’s Environmental Partner Corporate Giving Program. 1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses to support environmental solutions through annual membership and everyday actions. SORBA is now eligible for partner support through a network of businesses on their database. With the tremendous growth in mountain biking over the past decade, the need for trail building and maintenance is greater than ever. SORBA helps to sustain the expansion of the mountain biking industry, providing training opportunities and advocacy for 47 chapters across 7 states in the Southeast.
ENO’s Marketing Director, Anna Rawlins describes nominating SORBA, “As an outdoor company based in the Southeast that is comprised of outdoor enthusiasts, ENO is committed to supporting our local outdoor industry by ensuring access to public lands, promoting responsible recreation, and growing our local outdoor economy to create a future where everyone can enjoy their time outside. Having been a member of 1% for the Planet since 2018, ENO was elated to nominate SORBA as a nonprofit partner and grow their networking and funding that is helping to increase access to sustainable trails right in our backyard.”
ENO is famous for their portable hammocks, but they also offer a wide variety of gear including chairs, blankets, bags, camping accessories, backyard hammocks, and hammock stands. Their responsibly made products are designed to help you explore, connect, and relax from your backyard to the backcountry and everywhere in between.
SORBA would like to thank ENO for the nomination. SORBA’s Development Director Jen Flavin remarked, “We are incredibly grateful for ENO’s support through their generous nomination. SORBA has been interested in becoming a 1% Environmental Partner to help fund the work we do. Thanks to ENO, we hope to garner even more support expanding and sustaining mountain biking throughout the Southeast.”
According to Yvon Chouinard, Founder of Patagonia and 1% for the Planet, “This is not philanthropy. This should be the cost of doing business. It’s paying rent for us to use the planet.” If your business agrees, learn more at www.onepercentfortheplanet.org You can view SORBA’s profile at: https://directories.onepercentfortheplanet.org/profile/southern-offroad-bicycle-association
