SORBA Tri-Cities has partnered with their local Trek Store to give away a new Trek Fuel Ex5. They will be giving it away at a local outdoor festival here in Johnson City on Saturday, Aug 20th. The festival is called the Meet the Mountains Festival. Tickets start at $10 each and the winner doesn’t have to be present to win.
Proceeds from the bike will go towards building out of Tannery Knob. There will be a green gravity trail and green climb trail that will both connect into Chamber’s Drive. These both will be great beginner trails that will add a bit more downhill feel for those new riders, but they will be built so even experienced riders can have a good time on them! And these will create an access point lower on the mountain to make riding from downtown much more enjoyable.
The new blue will be handbuilt singletrack that will break off from Breakfast Club and descend down to Panorama. This trail will be similar to Panorama and will traverse over some earthen mounds to create a fun downhill experience.
